Fizz Discovery Discount Briefly Returned in Ontario (Oct. 22, 2026): 25% Off for 24 Months, Then Pulled Within Hours
Fizz's Discovery discount came back in Ontario, for a few hours
On the morning of Wednesday, October 22, 2026, Ontario deal hunters spotted something familiar on fizz.ca: the Discovery discount, 25% off any new mobile plan for 24 months. It was flagged on r/FizzMobile and picked up by RedFlagDeals and SmartCanucks.
It didn't last. By midday, members on Reddit were reporting that the offer had been removed from the site, and RedFlagDeals now marks the deal as expired. As of October 25, 2026, Fizz's official Discovery discount FAQ says: "This discount is not currently offered."
What the October 22 offer looked like
According to the RedFlagDeals and SmartCanucks listings:
| Detail | October 22, 2026 offer |
|---|---|
| **Discount** | 25% off the plan's regular price |
| **Duration** | 24 months, applied monthly (plan stays month-to-month, no contract) |
| **Who** | New mobile customers |
| **Where** | Reported as **Ontario only**. Members said Quebec, Alberta and BC did not get it |
| **Example: 100 GB 5G** | **$26.25/month** (regular $35) |
| **Example: 35 GB 5G** | **$22.50/month** (regular $30) |
Other prices popped up on Reddit depending on how plans were configured (coverage, texts, minutes), so treat the two examples above as the reference points. Fizz has not published an official announcement about this short-lived offer.
How the Discovery discount works (official rules)
Fizz's FAQ explains the mechanics, which matter if the discount comes back:
- check_circle The discount applies to new mobile plans activated in an eligible region, automatically each month, starting the day your SIM card is activated.
- check_circle If you change your plan during the period, the discount follows the new plan for the remaining months.
- check_circle When the period ends, your plan returns to its regular price.
- check_circle No stacking: only one recurring discount can apply to a plan at a time. A phone-purchase discount, for example, automatically replaces the Discovery discount (Fizz keeps whichever is more advantageous).
- check_circle It can apply to additional lines too.
- check_circle If you cancel, you lose the discount for good, but there is no penalty for leaving.
Note that Fizz's EB Games Starter Pack terms, quoted on RedFlagDeals, say that offer cannot be combined with promo codes, referral bonuses or the Discovery discount.
Didn't get it? What existing members are saying
The thread quickly filled up with familiar frustration:
- check_circle Existing customers can't switch to it. Several members said Fizz support would not move their current line to the discounted price or credit the difference. One member suggested creating a new account and transferring the number, but that means giving up your current account's history, so weigh that carefully.
- check_circle Check your order if you jumped on it. In a separate r/FizzMobile post, one member who ordered a physical SIM during the window said they were only charged for the SIM and had no plan attached to their new account afterward. If you ordered on October 22, sign in and confirm that your plan and the 25% discount show up, and contact Fizz support right away if they don't.
- check_circle Leak or test? Some members think it was an early Black Friday offer that went live too soon. That is speculation. Fizz hasn't said why it appeared or disappeared.
Discovery discount history in 2026
This is not the first time the discount has come and gone:
- check_circle March 2026: Fizz ran the Discovery discount, then brought it back for a very short time at the end of the month. MobileSyrup reported that this version covered Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, BC and Quebec, lasted 24 months, and ended March 31. Our recap: Fizz Discovery Price ending March 31, 2026.
- check_circle October 22, 2026: a brief, Ontario-only reappearance, pulled the same day.
The pattern: Fizz uses the Discovery discount as a short flash promotion with little warning. If you're waiting for it, you need to move fast.
What to watch for next: Black Friday 2026
Fizz has already started its Black Friday campaign. The 40 GB loyalty data gift requires an active Fizz plan by November 3, 2026 (11:59 p.m. PT), and Fizz says more gifts will be revealed starting November 4. All the details are in our Fizz Black Friday 2026 guide.
Our practical advice for Ontario shoppers:
- 1. Don't count on the Discovery discount returning, but check fizz.ca regularly in November. Flash offers have appeared early in the morning.
- 2. Joining before November 3 gets you into the 40 GB loyalty gift no matter which plan you pick.
- 3. Try the network first with Fizz's 15-day free eSIM trial (3 GB, 100 texts, 100 minutes) without cancelling your current provider.
How to switch to Fizz & get an extra $25 welcome bonus
The referral bonus is separate from plan pricing, so you can still get it on regular plans (it cannot be combined with the EB Games Starter Pack):
- 1. Get a SIM card or eSIM: Order an eSIM instantly online (if your phone supports eSIM) or pick up a physical SIM card at participating stores (Couche-Tard, Circle K, EB Games/GameStop) or by mail on fizz.ca.
- 2. Select your plan: Choose Ontario (or your province), then build your data, coverage, texts and minutes.
- 3. Enter referral code STOJ4: On the plan summary page during checkout, find the "Referral code" field and enter STOJ4.
- 4. Keep your number: Choose "Transfer an existing number" and enter your current account details. Keep your old service active until Fizz completes the transfer.
- 5. Enjoy your reward: Once you pay your second monthly bill, a $25 bonus credit is automatically applied to your account!
Summary

Fizz's FAQ confirms it is not currently offered. Existing members can't switch to it, and anyone who ordered that day should double-check their account. With Black Friday deals rolling out, keep an eye on fizz.ca, grab the 40 GB loyalty gift before November 3, and use code STOJ4 when you join.
